Though Bhutan is a bitsy land( only,394 km ²), it has a commodity special for everyone. It’s the place for ultimate peace for which trippers
crowd this land from distance. During a Bhutan Package Tour, you’ll find that- the pristine and unalloyed nature rejoices the heart and soul of trippers
looking for peace and tranquility. However, Bhutan won’t fail them as it’s one of the stylish places for sweet bones
, If anyone is looking for romantic gateways also. For adventure suckers, Bhutan has kept wide open its treasures for trampers, perambulators, mountain bikers, pedestrians, and rafters. It’s a treasure trove for those looking for an adrenaline rush! The graphic natural knockouts have exhilarated nature suckers around the globe this is the reason, Bhutan is explored by non-natives for the last decades. Why
        Bhutan is Happiest Country ?

It is hard to imagine that such a small country, the size of Indiana with the population of Alaska, tucked in the Himalaya Mountains, accessible only by two airplanes, is the “Happiest Country” in the world, the last standing Buddhist Kingdom and has one of the fastest growing GDP’s in the world. This country is Bhutan, “Land Of The Thunder Dragon.” Bhutan is located in South Asia and is landlocked between India, Tibet, China, and Nepal. In 2004, some people lived in Bhutan for a month at the time the King was transitioning the government to a democracy. My father had been invited by the Chief Justice of Bhutan to help them write their judicial laws.

Bhutan is the last standing Buddhist Kingdom in the World and, until recently, has preserved much of their culture since the 17th century by avoiding globalization and staying isolated from the world. Bhutan only allows a certain number of foreigners into the country each year, and the two hundred dollars a day that must be paid by every traveler is a deterrent for many. Internet, television, and western dress were banned from the country up until ten years ago. But over the past ten years globalization has begun to change in Bhutan, but things remain perfectly balanced.

In 2008, in Bhutan’s first democratic election, 28-year-old Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck was elected president of Bhutan. He promises to “maintain a stance of protection against the worst aspects of globalization, maintaining the ‘Gross National Happiness.’ But Jigme himself is no stranger to globalization. He attended high school at Phillips Academy and university at Wheaton College and then graduated from Oxford. Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck now helps Bhutan perfect the balance between maintaining ones cultural values and traditions while increasing their economy, the same way he helped me perfect my basketball shot years back on a local court in Bhutan.

        F.A.Q
        ASK HERE !!
        Any Questions Bhutan Trip Relatable?
        Where is Bhutan?

Bhutan is a small, landlocked country situated in the eastern Himalayas between China and India. Its landscape ranges from Subtropical plains and forests in the south to subalpine forests and the snowy Himalayas in the North. Bhutan is a principally Buddhist country, and it is recognized as the last stronghold of Mahayana Buddhism.

Do I need to use a tour operator to book my travel?

Yes, it is Bhutanese government regulation that you must use a licensed Bhutanese Tour operator to book your tour to Bhutan or one of their international associates.

Why do you need a tour guide in Bhutan?

Without a guide, navigating the Bhutanese roads would be difficult, and GPS is hardly used. Without a tour guide, it would not be easy to understand the custom, culture, and entire temple symbolism. Without a guide, you would miss out on unique experiences as many activities require special permission, like entering monasteries, temples, etc. Therefore, Bhutan’s government has established that having a guide is a Must to travel to Bhutan.

Do I need a visa to enter Bhutan?

All foreign tourists planning to visit Bhutan require a visa that must be pre-arranged through a licensed Bhutanese Tour Operator or any of their International associates. Your tour operator must obtain a visa clearance copy to fly to Bhutan. For Indian passport holders (or VIC), Bangladeshi nationals and people from the Maldives may obtain a visa upon arrival.

How much does the visa cost?

The visa fee for foreign travelers is US$ 40. The price can be paid in advance to your tour operator or travel agent. There is no cost for Indian Passport (or VIC) holders, Bangladeshi nationals, and people from the Maldives.

With the recent change in the Sustainable development fee, every tourist except for Indian nationals must pay USD 200 per night as a Sustainable fee; this excludes other charges such as hotels, food, transportation, entrance fees, company service charges, etc. An Indian national must pay INR 1200 per night as a sustainable development fee. This is effective from 20 June 2022.

What are the Festivals in Bhutan?

Bhutan festivals reflect the spirituality and vibrant culture of the Kingdom of Bhutan. Bhutan celebrates several traditional festivals throughout the year, and it is essential to attend the stunning festival during your trip to Bhutan at least once in your lifetime to witness the unique Cham dance and approach authentic Bhutan with a friendly community. Click here for the Bhutan festivals with tentative dates.

What Currency is used in Bhutan?

The Currency of Bhutan is called Ngultrum. The value of Ngultrum is tied to the Indian Currency, which is acceptable as a legal tender. Indian notes of 500 and 1000 are not accepted at some point.

Is there a limit to the number of tourists that can enter Bhutan annually?

There is no limitation on the tourists admitted into the country every year. However, to protect our traditions, culture, and natural environment, the government has implemented strict guidelines for “High Value, Low Impact Tourism.” This policy is meant to attract discerning tourists that will respect the unique culture and values of the Bhutanese people while also providing the guests with a memorable, one-of-a-kind experience.
