Kerala has just become India’s only state with four airports that run both domestic as well as international flights. They are the Trivandrum, Cochin, Kozhikode and Kannur Airports. This makes flying into Kerala easy and convenient, no matter which part of India or the world one is coming from. Each airport sits in a different region of the state, so you can easily land at the one that best suits your itinerary.

        Any Questions Kerala Trip Relatable?
        Q) What is the best time to travel to Kerala?

The traditional peak season for visiting Kerala is September to March, when the Kerala weather is pleasant. Winters are also the best time to enjoy a stay on a Kerala houseboat. However, if you don’t mind a little humidity, the monsoon brings a wonderful touch of romance and greenery to Kerala, making June to August also a good time to plan a romantic getaway to Kerala!

How many days should I plan for Kerala?

Kerala is a complex destination with a large variety of things to do and places to see. How many days to plan for Kerala will depend entirely on your interests and what you wish to do, but ideally we would suggest about 6 days for a Kerala trip to do justice to the destination. This is especially true if you are a first-time visitor to Kerala and intend to cover more than 2 cities within Kerala.

Which places should I visit in Kerala?

Your choice of destination within Kerala would depend on personal preferences, but here are some tips:

        • Munnar, the most popular hill station in Kerala, is also the most visited place in Kerala. It is also a favourite destination of honeymooners due to its climate and beautiful landscapes.

        • Alleppey is where the famous Kerala houseboats are found, and you should include this in your trip especially if you are travelling as a couple.

        • Kumarakom is another backwater destination in Kerala, known for its luxurious and laid-back resort hotels. This is the perfect family destination in Kerala.

        • Thekkady offers access to the Periyar National Park, as well as family-friendly experiences like elephant camps, spice plantation visits, Kalaripayattu demonstrations and more.

        • Kovalam is Kerala’s most famous beach town, popular with families as well as couples.

        • Wayanad is a romantic getaway destination for those who want to add a touch of offbeat adventure to their Kerala trip.

What should I pack for Kerala?

Carry light cotton clothes suitable for Kerala’s warm humid climate, a light jacket in case the weather grows cool especially if you are visiting Munnar or Wayanad, rainwear if travelling during the monsoon, sun-protection, a reusable water bottle (avoid overuse of plastic water bottles, many hotels will fill your water bottle with RO water if you ask), and comfortable walking shoes.
