Char Dham Package From Delhi Overview
About the tour:
A journey that will take you on a quest for Moksha; a journey filled with fascination and spirituality. These Char Dhams – Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri of Uttarakhand are some of the most sacred and significant pilgrimages in India which take you on a path of divinity.
Every one of these Dhams holds a legend and is devoted to a specific deity. Yamunotri being the seat of the Goddess Yamuna is dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna who goes along the pilgrims to the high altitudes of the picturesque Rawai Valley. Gangotri is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga. The shrine overlooks the River Bhagirathi, another name of River Ganga. According to the legend, Goddess Ganga took the form of the river to cleanse the ashes and liberate the souls of King Bhagiratha’s predecessors. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is also a part of the Panch Kedar. It is the northernmost Jyotirlinga and is close to the source of the holy river Mandakini. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is situated on the bank of the River Alaknanda. According to legend, Lord Vishnu meditated here while his consort Lakshmi took the form of a berry (Badri) tree to offer him shade.
